Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions (“Agreement”) set forth the general terms and conditions of your use of the www.lendmylook.com website (“Website” or “Services”) and any of its related products and services (collectively, “Services”). This Agreement is legally binding between you (“User,” “You” or “Your”) and Lend My Look Limited (“Lend My Look,” “LML,” “We,” “Us,” “Our”).

If you are entering into this Agreement on behalf of a business or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind such an entity to this Agreement. If you do not have such authority, or if you do not agree with the terms of this Agreement, you must not accept this Agreement and may not access or use the Website and Services.

By accessing and using the Website and Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. You acknowledge that this Agreement is a contract between you and Lend My Look Limited, even though it is electronic and not physically signed by you, and it governs your use of the Website and Services.

Lend My Look Limited provides a peer-to-peer digital marketplace that connects third parties (“Lenders”) to list and rent their items to third parties (“Renters”) using our website.

We provide the infrastructure to facilitate interactions between third parties. “Community Rules” are part of the terms of service agreement all users must accept when using our website. We do not take responsibility for, own, inspect, or set prices for items listed on the website. We are not party to agreements between lenders and renters. The only exception is when Lend My Look facilitates payment on behalf of the lenders.

These Terms and the Privacy Policy may change at any time. If we make changes, we will post a notice on our website and may also notify you via email or other means. Changes take effect on the date set out at the end of these Terms. Continued use of the Website and Services constitutes your acceptance of the changes.

The Website and Services may contain technical inaccuracies or typographical errors. We shall have no liability for such inaccuracies or errors and no obligation to identify or correct them.

Eligibility

Our services are intended for individuals who are:

  • At least 18 years old,
  • Reside within the United Kingdom,
  • Capable of entering legally binding contracts.

We reserve the right to terminate, suspend, or deny accounts for non-compliance.

User Accounts

To become a lender or renter, you must:

  • Create an account,
  • Provide accurate information (name, address, billing info),
  • Undergo ID verification if required.

You are responsible for your account activity and must notify support@lendmylook.com of any breaches. Password sharing is prohibited without consent.

Listing Items

Lenders must:

  • Provide accurate listings, photos, and condition details,
  • Include sizing, brand, defects, and care instructions,
  • Legally own or have consent to rent the item,
  • Avoid listing counterfeit items.

Lend My Look may request proof of authenticity (e.g., receipts) and recent item photos (taken within 24 hours of upload). We may remove listings or suspend accounts if requirements are not met.

Photos should:

  • Follow provided guidelines,
  • Be taken by the lender,
  • Not infringe on IP or privacy rights.

Listings are ranked at Lend My Look’s discretion.

Repeat cancellations or late returns may result in account suspension.

Rental Terms

Upon confirmation:

  • A legal agreement is formed between Lender and Renter,
  • Items must be returned in the same condition and within agreed dates,
  • Renters must follow care instructions and take clear photos before returning items.

Photos must:

  • Be taken while the item is laid flat,
  • Be submitted immediately before packing,
  • Not show the item being worn.

Renters may be held responsible for damage if photos are not provided.

Lenders may charge fees for:

  • Damage,
  • Loss,
  • Additional cleaning.

Lend My Look will assist in dispute resolution where necessary.

Important Notes:

  • In-person exchanges must be in safe, public areas.
  • Late returns may incur daily fees.
  • Lost items require full retail value reimbursement.
  • Theft will result in legal action.
  • Use tracked, insured delivery services.
  • Sender is responsible for delivery until the item is received.

Payments and Fees

  • All payments go through Stripe and are subject to Stripe’s T&Cs.
  • Transactions outside the platform incur a 15% fee.
  • LML charges 15% + VAT commission from the lender.
  • Payment is typically processed within 24 hours post-rental.

If payment fails:

  • LML may attempt recovery via Stripe,
  • Accounts may be suspended if unresolved after 7 days,
  • Chargebacks result in immediate suspension.

Discount codes and promotional offers apply to eligible orders.

Failure to return items may incur legal costs and late fees.

Payments are in GBP (£). LML is not responsible for currency conversion or bank charges.

Cancellations and Refunds

Lender cancels before dispatch → Full refund to renter.

Renter cancels before dispatch → Full refund to renter.

Item in transit or already sent → Full fees apply.

Refunds may be issued if:

  • Items have undeclared defects,
  • Items are significantly not as described,
  • Rental is cancelled before start based on the Lender’s policy.

Cancellation policies: Flexible, Moderate, or Strict.

Disputes and Damage Claims

  • Users should try to resolve disputes directly.
  • If unresolved, email support@lendmylook.com with evidence.
  • LML will assist but has no obligation to resolve.
  • Users agree to accept LML’s final decision.

Disputes must not be made public before resolution.

Unpaid invoices will be pursued for 30 days; after that, users may need to take independent legal action.

Chargebacks without prior resolution attempts breach these terms.

Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

  • List counterfeit or stolen goods,
  • Harass or discriminate against others,
  • Circumvent the platform to avoid fees,
  • Post misleading information,
  • Tamper with reviews or ratings.

Violations may lead to legal action and account termination.

Intellectual Property

All content on the website (logos, text, images) is owned by or licensed to Lend My Look.

Users may not copy, reproduce, or distribute content without written permission.

By submitting content (e.g., listings), you grant LML a royalty-free license to use and promote it.

Limitation of Liability

LML is not liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages,
  • Service interruptions or errors,
  • Quality or legality of listed items.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify LML and its affiliates against any claims, damages, or expenses from your use of the website or violations of these terms.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account without notice for violations or harmful conduct. Pending rentals may be cancelled.

You may also close your account anytime by contacting us.

Changes to Terms

Terms may be updated to reflect service, legal, or business changes. Continued use means acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of their courts. You agree to attempt informal resolution first.
