These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website www.lendmylook.com (the "Platform") and all related services provided by Lend My Look Limited ("Lend My Look", "LML", "we", "us", or "our").

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

If you are using the Platform on behalf of a business or organisation, you confirm you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

About the Platform

Lend My Look is a peer-to-peer fashion lending platform that allows users to share clothing and accessories with others.

• Users who list items are referred to as "Lenders"
• Users who borrow items are referred to as "Borrowers"

We provide the infrastructure to connect users, but:

• We do not own, inspect, or store items,
• We do not control the quality, safety, or legality of items,
• We are not a party to agreements between Lenders and Borrowers.

Our Community Rules form part of these Terms and must be followed at all times.

Subscription Model

Access to borrowing features on the Platform is provided through a monthly subscription.

• A fee of £4.99 per month is charged to users,
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled,
• The subscription provides access to borrow items — no per-item lending fees apply,
• Borrowers are responsible for all shipping and return postage costs,
• If your subscription lapses, your access to Platform features may be restricted.

Subscription fees are non-refundable, except where required by law.

Eligibility

To use the Platform, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old,
• Reside in the United Kingdom,
• Be legally capable of entering into a binding contract.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that do not meet these requirements.

User Accounts

To use the Platform, you must:

• Create an account with accurate information,
• Provide details such as your name, address, and payment information,
• Complete identity verification if requested.

You are responsible for all activity on your account.

You must:

• Keep your login details secure,
• Not share your account without permission.

Lending and Borrowing

When a borrowing request is accepted:

• A direct agreement is formed between the Lender and Borrower,
• The Borrower agrees to return the item on time and in the same condition received (allowing for normal wear).

Borrowers must:

• Follow all care instructions,
• Avoid altering items in any way,
• Take clear photos before returning items if required.

Lenders must:

• Provide accurate descriptions and photos,
• Disclose any defects or wear,
• Ensure items are clean and ready to wear.

Shipping and Delivery

• Borrowers are responsible for all shipping and return costs,
• Items should be sent using tracked and insured delivery services,
• The sender is responsible for the item until it is received.

For in-person exchanges, these must take place in safe, public locations.

Cancellations

• Lender cancels before dispatch → no borrowing takes place.
• Borrower cancels before dispatch → no additional charges apply.

Once an item has been dispatched, cancellations may not be possible.

Subscription fees remain payable regardless of cancellations.

Damage, Loss, and Disputes

Borrowers are responsible for items while in their possession.

• Damaged items may require repair or compensation,
• Lost items must be reimbursed at full retail value,
• Failure to return items may result in further action.

Users should first attempt to resolve disputes directly.

We may assist in resolving disputes but are not obligated to intervene, and our decision (if provided) is final.

Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

• List counterfeit or stolen items,
• Misrepresent items or their condition,
• Harass, abuse, or discriminate against other users,
• Attempt to bypass the Platform or subscription system,
• Manipulate reviews or ratings.

We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations.

Intellectual Property

All Platform content (including logos, text, and design) is owned by or licensed to Lend My Look.

You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute content without permission.

By uploading content (e.g. listings), you grant us a royalty-free licence to use it for Platform operation and promotion.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lend My Look is not liable for:

• Losses arising from user interactions,
• Damage to or loss of items,
• Service interruptions or technical issues.

Use of the Platform is at your own risk.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lend My Look from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Platform,
• Your breach of these Terms.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if:

• You breach these Terms,
• Your conduct poses a risk to other users or the Platform.

You may close your account at any time by contacting us.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Where changes are significant, we will notify you.

Continued use of the Platform means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
