House Rules & Wardrobe Etiquette

For Borrowers

1. Love it like it’s yours (or better)
If you wouldn’t spill red wine on your best mate’s dress, don’t do it here. Keep it cute. Keep it clean.

2. Return it on time - no ghosting
Late returns = bad vibes. We get life happens - just don’t leave your lender hanging. (You’ve got a 2-day grace window - max.)

3. Keep it fresh
If it smells like a festival tent, we’ve got a problem. Always follow the care label.

4. Oops? Own it.
Stains, snags or sudden disasters? Let the lender know straight away. Honesty beats hiding it and hoping no one notices.

5. No DIY couture
No snipping, sewing or ‘just adjusting the straps a bit.’ Fashion tape = yes. Scissors = no. Ask first if in doubt.

6. Don’t force the fit
If it’s too tight, it’s too tight. No wrestling into it - you might damage the item (and your dignity).

For Lenders

1. Keep it real
List the true condition, sizing, quirks and care tips. Honesty builds trust (and better reviews).

2. Send it on time
Renters have weddings, first dates, work drinks. Don’t be the reason someone shows up in jeans when they planned sequins.

3. Clean before lending
Freshly washed, nice-smelling, carefully folded. Think ‘ready to wear’ not ‘found at the bottom of the laundry basket.’

4. Be fair with pricing
Use your head: £300 RRP doesn’t mean a £100 rental. Affordable fashion wins fans (and more bookings).

5. Empty those pockets
No surprises, please - that lip gloss, tampon or fiver isn’t part of the look.

6. Stay in touch
A quick reply can save a lot of stress. Help your borrower feel confident and stylish - not left on read.
